Winemaker Notes: This is the final release of our 2011 Fog Catcher. More than a decade of aging has rendered it elegant and smooth, with softened tannins. This is a prime example of how age can benefit wines from a cool vintage like 2011.
The 2011 vintage has some of the dark fruit flavors that are more present in younger vintages but is starting to transition to more dried, earthy flavors. It has strong, lingering tannins and a full mouthfeel. On the flavor side think mint chocolate, cocoa powder and almond cookies.
