Winemaker Notes: 2013 was a stunning year for Cabernet Sauvignon. In fact, we’re releasing this wine along with its 2013 Reserve counterpart. The color has remained vibrant, with dark fruit flavors and lightly toasted oak.
The 2013s were opulent in their youth, and have evolved into beautiful wines over years. We aged this wine 20 months in barrel and blended in 5% of Petit Verdot for color., and additional time in bottle has softened the richness of the vintage. It was bottled unfiltered, so we recommend carefully pouring into a decanter prior to serving.
