Each year certain Cabernet Sauvignon vines at Bootjack Ranch capture our attention in the cellar and demand to be bottled independently. From a winemaking perspective, the beauty of this wine is in its clarity of focus. Specifically, it’s 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, all of which is a single clone - 15 - a French clone known for its density and structure. To accentuate what the vineyard gave us we hand-selected French Oak barrels, over half of which were new, lending spice and structure to the wine. This wine embodies the wildness of the rolling hills and weaves bright cherry notes with elegance & structure.
