Winemaker Notes: All the qualities that we love about Malbec have been accentuated with time in this bottle. Deep color, brambly dark fruit flavors with plush, savory tannins.
We farm a single block of Malbec at Heart Hill Vineyard and the fruit is usually destined entirely for our Fog Catcher program. In years when the quality is outstanding, we bottle a small amount. We aged this wine in over 50% new French oak barrels for 23 months, and as with other 2015 wines, it has continued to develop in our cellar over years.
