Fog Catcher is our flagship estate Bordeaux blend, named for the cool, grey banks of fog that drift over our vineyards in the early morning. Each year our Winemakers taste our entire library collection of Fog Catcher bottles, from 2006 to 2022, and select their favorites to share.
The 2018 vintage is a blend of 43% Cabernet Sauvignon, 22% Petit Verdot, 20% Cabernet Franc, 10% Malbec & 5% Carménère aged for 26 months in French Oak barrels. The vintage is highly regarded as one of the best of that decade and it has been a delight to taste this wine as it has evolved over the years. This is a layered, complex wine that has ample rich fruit flavors, brushy tannins and harmonious acidity.
