Winemaker Patrick has a few special blocks of Syrah at Heart Hill that he loves. They grow on steep, rocky hillsides and produce rich, textured, and luscious wines. The grapes were hand-sorted and gravity-fed into stainless steel tanks for primary fermentation, then aged 22 months in 80% new French Oak barrels. To enhance the texture and structure of the wine, whole clusters and dried stems were included in a portion of the tanks. This is a wine that will continue to evolve over the next 10+ years. If drinking now, we recommend decanting for 4+ hours.
