Fog Catcher is our flagship blend named for the cool, grey banks of fog that drift over our vineyards in the early mornings. It is a cuvée of the best 35 barrels of our Bordeaux varietals aged in French oak barrels for over two years.
In 2021 we had the trifecta of an excellent growing season. It was dry, cool and long - everything we need to grow impressive Bordeaux grapes. Our Cabernet Sauvignon was stunning, with deep color and distinctive flavors from the start. It became the star of this blend, with supporting roles played by plush Malbec and spicy Carménère. The resulting wine is powerful and age-worthy, with a luxurious mouthfeel and harmonious balance of dark fruit, herbal and floral notes. It is poised to age beautifully over the next 10+ years.
