2021 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon

This is a bittersweet release as it marks our final vintage of Bootjack Ranch Cabernet Sauvignon. Bootjack Ranch was the first vineyard that Richard Niner purchased over two decades ago and we’ve made Cabernet Sauvignon wine from the site since our inception.

As sentimental as this release makes us, 2021 was a benchmark vintage across most of California and we’re happy to end the long lineage of this wine with an epic release. We used two of our oldest blocks of Cabernet Sauvignon in this wine, revered for their structure, vibrancy and deep color. We hand-harvested, de-stemmed and pressed the grapes into stainless steel tanks for fermentation. We then aged the wine in some of our favorite French oak barrels for 27 months. 

This wine is complex and layered with Cabernet Sauvignon’s hallmark combination of dark cherry, brushy herbs, dark chocolate and elegant, refined tannins.
