We farm just nine acres of Syrah at Jespersen Ranch; our coastal vineyard located four miles from the Pacific Ocean. Cool, foggy mornings and warm afternoon breezes shape a Syrah that clearly reflects its maritime climate. In 2021 the grapes were hand-harvested, de-stemmed, and fermented in stainless steel tanks before aging for 16 months in a mix of French and American oak. The result is a robust, richly textured Syrah that captures the three elements we love most about Jespersen Ranch Syrah: vibrant fruit, savory depth, and spice. Aromas and flavors of cocoa, baking spice, black cherry, and plum define this wine’s bold yet balanced character.
