2022 Club 9

‘Club 9’ was the original name of our Wine Club when we opened 20 years ago, and in homage to that we make this wine to share with our members. This is an unconventional, creative blend that we make with delicious wines that, for one reason or another, just did not fit in our other cuvees. 

In 2022 we had a few barrels of Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon (including some whole-cluster Syrah and concrete fermented Cabernet Sauvignon) that we loved. We blended these standout barrels with Malbec, Mourvedre, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot to create a Bordeaux/Rhone inspired blend. This wine was aged for 20 months in oak barrels and the result is a plush, balanced wine with layers of blackberry, red cherry and blueberry flavors outlined by robust tannins and a delicate green streak.
