2023 Zinfandel

We farm a small parcel of 20 year-old, head-trained Zinfandel vines at Heart Hill Vineyard. We only make a few hundred cases of this special wine each vintage, most of which will be shared with our Wine Club. The cool 2023 growing season allowed for slower ripening across the site, and the extended hang time enabled us to harvest at the ideal moment, when flavor, structure, and ripeness align. We hand-harvested the clusters and fermented in stainless steel tanks, then aged for 10 months in a mix of French oak vessels. The finished wine opens soft and sweet, with round tannins and notes of ripe fruit: a classic expression of Zinfandel.
