We farm Pinot Noir at Jespersen Ranch, located in the northwestern corner of Edna valley just four miles from the ocean. Our Pinot Noir vines thrive in the coastal environment and derive their character from the rolling banks of coastal fog in the morning and ocean breezes in the afternoon. This single-site, single-varietal wine offers a vivid expression of Jespersen Ranch. Each vineyard block was vinified separately, allowing subtle distinctions to emerge and layers of complexity to develop. Following fermentation in open-top stainless steel tanks, the wine was aged in French oak barrels. The result is an expressive Pinot Noir, weaving bright red fruit with notes of tea, wet clay, and earth, all carried by finely integrated structure and an understated, savory depth.
