Donations in 2019

In 2019, we were able to donate over $230k to charity and we want to thank everyone who visited us this year and supported our fundraising efforts!

We feel very fortunate to be able to live and work on the Central Coast of California. As a family-owned company, we owe a lot to our community.  We give through four different giving programs: employee giving, customer partnership, direct philanthropy and volunteer work and will continue to make an effort to do more.

Volunteer Work

As a team we provide and serve a meal at Echo Homeless Shelter each month. Our kitchen team provides cooks up a main course, salad, fruit and a dessert and people across the company sign up for shifts to serve the meals. We’re always looking for more opportunities, so let us know if you know of an organization that needs help!

Employee Giving

Our employee giving program encourages each of our employees to choose an organization to receive a donation in their name. We’ve been doing this for a couple years and find it to be a great way to simultaneously thank our employees and support organizations that do impactful work.

Customer Partnership

Throughout the year we partner with our supporters (that’s you!) to raise funds. Sometimes it includes an industry wide fundraiser, and in 2019 we participated in three different programs:

· Tasting Fees for must! Charities – we donated 100% of tasting fees for January, February and March of 2019
· Wine 4 Paws Weekend – over a weekend in April, wineries across the county donated 10% of sales to support Woods Human Society
· $1 a Bottle for Fire Relief – in November the Paso Robles Wine Country Alliance organized a community program to donate $1 per bottle sold to support fire relief in Sonoma County

Direct Philanthropy

We make meaningful commitments to 2-3 organizations a year outside of the two programs above.  In doing so, we take a more active approach donating both money and time in order to have the maximum impact.  We’ve found this to be a much more effective way of giving back than making smaller donations to a wider range of organizations.
