Fog Catcher Receives 94 Points

named for the cool, grey banks of fog that drift over our vineyard in the morning Fog Catcher represents the pinnacle of our estate winemaking philosophy. We take great care in farming our land and only the best 27 barrels of wine from each vintage earn a place in this blend.

2013 Fog Catcher, 94 points

A favorite barrel selection made form 42% Cabernet Sauvignon, 29% Malbec, 24% Petit Verdot and the balance Cabernet Franc that spent 28 months in French Oak, the 2013 Fog Catcher sports a deep purple color as well as terrific notes of creme de cassis, licorice, graphite and cedarlike spice. Rich, full-bodied, concentrated and elegant, with beautiful purity and precision on the palate, it's unquestionably the finest wine I've ever tasted from this estate. 750ml bottles sold out, limited magnums available here »

2013 Reserve Syrah, Heart Hill Vineyard, 91 Points

Incorporating just a splash of Grenache (1%) the 2013 Syrah Reserve Heart Hill Vineyard spent 18 months in oak prior to bottling. It's vibrant ruby/purple color is followed by a terrific bouquet of cassis, vanilla bean, toasted bread and spice. It's medium to full-bodied, supple and polished, with tons of charm and personality. Drink this crowd pleaser anytime over the coming 4-5 years. Wine Club Members only, available here »

2014 Reserve Twisted Spur, Heart Hill Vineyard, 90 points

A blend of 47% Cabernet Sauvignon, 24% Syrah, 23% Petit Verdot and the balance Grenache the 2014 Heart Hill Vineyard Reserve Twisted Spur gives up lots of plum and jammy blackberry fruits, licorice and lead pencil notes in its rich, medium to full-bodied personality. It has solid tannin, but plays in the charming, fruit forward style of the vintage. Available here »
